Lawn Care & Treatment FAQ

FAQ…

Answers to our most frequently asked questions.

Q: Will I be tied to a contract or terms and conditions?
A: No, you do not have to sign any contract. You can inform us at any time if you wish to cancel your treatments.

Q: Am I committed to four visits a year?
A: No but for the most successful results it is necessary to treat your lawns every three months to allow the levels of fertilizer to remain effective and to achieve full moss, disease and weed control.

Q: When is the best time to cut my lawn after treatment?
A: The treatments are more effective if you do not cut your lawn for two or three days either side of your treatment day.

Q: Are the treatments you use safe for children and pets?
A: The products we use are generally fine after 1-2 hours of application .They are not legally classified as non toxic but are all certified for use on lawns and are applied by our NPTC qualified operatives. They do not represent a significant threat to children or pets.

Q: When will my lawn start to look healthier?
A: You will see the benefits within 10 days of commencement of treatments and you will notice a significant improvement after 2/3 treatments.

Q: What can I do if I am not satisfied with the results ?
A: We are completely confident you will be fully satisfied with every aspect of our treatments and service. If you have any concerns just call us. There is always someone willing to answer and respond to your queries.

Q: Is your treatment service expensive?
A: Our initial visit and quotation is free of charge .We charge an agreed set amount for each visit throughout the year calculated on size and condition of your lawn. This will often work out far less expensive than if you bought your own lawn products from a DIY store. We are an independent company and are not tied to any franchise organization. We can therefore provide very competitive prices.

Have you prepared your lawns for the Winter?

Don’t forget that lawns need attention too.We take time to store and wrap tender plants but this cannot be done for our lawns. It is therefore important that we do what we can to prepare them for the coming year.

Kent and Sussex Lawns recommend aerations during November and December to ensure that the ground is able to cope with whatever the Winter weather has in store.

It is also a good time to treat mossy areas to avoid it spreading through the colder months. If you are still cutting your lawns…remember to raise the height of the cut to protect the grass from frost.

Have you cleared the leaves from the lawn? This is very beneficial to the health of the grass not to mention good exercise!!

Once all these jobs are done you can settle back and wait for the warmer weather and a lovely green lawn next year.
